Nepal
Ramkrishna Dhakal is a very famous young musical artist or more specifically a singer (of modern-flavored songs) from Nepal. He started his musical carrier since his early childhood by singing famous songs by Narayan Gopal - also known as Swor-samrat (= Emperor of Voice). During his early period he struggled by singing amongst his group but after he got a break he established himself as one of the best Nepali singers. He rose to fame with his song "Orali lageko harin ko chhal bho". As a small kid, he used to sing at social functions and events. People were impressed by his singing ability and voice (although not mature). He modelled his singing style after Narayan Gopal; Dhakal acknowledges that he is a big fan of the late maestro. It would be fair to say that he benefitted from the void left by Narayan Gopal's death. People were looking for some one to fill the void. In fact, they were looking for the next Narayan Gopal. He has been successful so far.
He has released several very popular albums of modern songs/ghazals (adhunik geet). All his album names so far have started with the letter "A". Aashish, Aashirbad, Asha, Aroha, Aashraye, Adhar, and Aagraha. Among them, Aasha is the most popular album.
Apart from adhunik geet, he has also sung bhajans and patriotic songs (rastriya geet) and many film songs. RamKrishna Dhakal also acted in (a lead role) in a Nepali film, Aashirbad. The story was based or inspired by his own personal story of struggle and his rise to fame helped by his god-father Gopal Karmacharya. It was a successful film, partly aided by good music.(Music is composed by Sambhujit Banskota.)

[edit] Personal life
RamKrishna Dhakal was born in Nijhgagh, Bara district of Nepal in 2030 Bikram Sambat. He is married to Neelam Thakuri and have a daughter, Rani. He hails from Chitwan.

5}Phatteman Rajbhandari

Phatteman Rajbhandari
"If one have high desire to achieve something and dedicated all life to the activity with confidence and honesty then nothing can stop to achieve the goal. Even the age bar" This statement is proved by Phatteman Rajbhandari, who is most senior and very old singer in Nepali music field and the best known figures in the field of religious hymns for last six decades. Starting his career by singing live in radio Nepal during its initial period in 1960's, Phatteman reached the pinnacle of popularitywith his best known performances which included the patriotic song 'rato ra chandra surya' and ballads such as 'yesto pani hundo rahechha' and 'marnu baru garo hundo rahechha' which have always won the hearts and minds of nepali audiences of all ages and these song has made the nepali music at the top of mountain.
He is now 70 but the interesting fact is that, with increasing oldness, he is being more active in this field. He is turning the old age into youngness by performing the live concert, recording the new album and so on. What the truth is; the septuagenarian singer Phatteman is now turning towards a different breed of audiences with his debut recorded album of adhunik (contemporary) songs -'gayek phatteman at 70'. In his debut record, youth composer aavaas has helped phatteman to remarry his early nepali adhunik styles and the universal romantic sentiments with a strong juxtaposition to the social suffering and angst of the present day nepal. The influence of the classical devotional ragas resonates in phatteman's style. Amazingly, his vocal has hardly dropped out from his yesteryears even at 70.
Venturing into new realms have always fascinated veteran singer phatteman who started his solo debut on stage with 'gayek phatteman sanjh' in 2002 after singing in radio nepal with his contemporary singers swor smarat narayan gopal, natikaji, ambar gurung, bachchu kailas and gopal yonzan for decades. The success of the solo stage show first held on the 10th august 2002 at the birendra international convention center encouraged the organizers 'nepa-laya' to move ahead with the veteran "gayak" to travel to various parts of the country. The solo concert was also recorded and released along with his earlier compilation of devotional songs which included 'santa hridaya', 'deu darshan' and the ballad collection 'prem pida' that was recorded in radio nepal.
'Nepa-laya', the official management company, accompanied Phatteman on his solo concert tour to hetauda, narayanghat, pokhara and palpa within two months of 2002. The response in all these places was overwhelming.

4}Udit Narayan jha

Biography of Udit Narayan
Birth: Dec 1stBirthplace: NepalProfession: Playback Singer, Bollywood.
Family: Wife Deepa Narayan Jha and son Aditya Narayan
Udit Narayan is, without a doubt, the reigning king of male playback singers. He was born to on the border of India and Nepal.Udit's capability as a playback singer knows no bounds, as he has been magnanimously acclaimed in every kind of melody - soulful, romantic, fast-paced and recently, even pop. Udit has an extremely versatile tone which appears to flawlessly suit every Indian hero on screen. And today, innumerable awards and accolades later, Udit Narayan possesses one of the largest arrays of hit songs in the industry.
Udit Narayan was born on the 1st of December to father who was a farmer,Hare Krishna Jha and mother Bhuwaneshwari Devi. He belogs to the Brahmin caste. Narayan studied at Kunauli Bazaar (Saharsa), where he passed his S.S.C. and later obtained his intermediate Ratna Laxmi Campus (Kathmandu).
Udit Narayan began his career in Nepal singing for Kathmandu Radio Station where he used to sing Maithli and Nepali folk songs. Udit worked for Kathmandu Radio for almost eight years before the Indian Embassy offered him the chance to study classical music at a prestigious school in Mumbai,Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan on a music scholarship. He wasted no time and came to Bombay in 1978. But success did not come instantly. Only after years of study and several unnoticed recordings did he hit gold with his vocals for Aamir Khan in 1988's Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Fans marvel at his versatility, but his trademark is his"golden smile," so called because, during upbeat songs, one seems to actually *hear* the smile on his lips.
While he was still training in classical music Udit had also started doing the mandatory rounds of music director’s offices. Like all aspiring singers he too had to face the bitter disappointment of false promises from the music directors who kept saying that they were impressed by his voice. However it was Rajesh Roshan who gave him his first break for the film Unees Bees in 1980 starring Rakesh Roshan and Mithun Chakraborty. Even after he sang for Unees Bees nothing clicked for him as the film flopped and the struggling period continued. For over a decade he had to work very hard and nothing seemed to work for him.
In 1988 came Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and with songs like ‘Ae Mere Humsafar’, Akele Hain To Kya Gham Hai’ and of course the evergreen ‘Papa Kehte Hain’for which he won his first Film Fare award. Surprisingly the film had a totally new set up except for Producer Nasir Hussain and lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri. The film launched the careers of quite a few people. Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla the lead pair were one of them, composer duo Anand Milind another, director Mansoor Khan, female Playback singer Alka Yagnik who was languishing after Laawaris and of course Udit Narayan.
The musical success of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak made Udit Narayan an overnight star. He was hailed as the ‘screen voice’ of Aamir Khan particularly after the songs of Dil and songs like ‘Pehla Nasha’ from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar once again proved to be chartbusters. But Udit went on to sing hit songs in films starring other actors as well a case in point being Beta and Laadla starring Anil Kapoor which had songs like ‘Koyal Si Teri Boli’ and ‘Ladki Hai Kya’ respectively. Of course who can forget ‘Jaadu Teri Nazar’ and ‘Tu Mere Saamne’ rendered for Shah Rukh Khan in Darr. He went on to sing other hit songs like ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’, ‘Ruk Ja O Dil Deewane’ and ‘Najaane Mere Dil Ko Kya Ho Gaya’ for Shah Rukh Khan again in the mega musical blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. After the songs of Dil To Pagal Hai,Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and ‘ Ae Ajnabi’ from Dil Se he is now being hailed as the screen voice of Shah Rukh Khan. But he has also sung super hit songs for actors like Govinda, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar making him one of the few male playback singers to have sung for all the top actors.
He is married to Deepa Narayan Jha and has a son named Aditya Narayan. Udit Narayan lives with his family in Mumbai, India. During his career, he sung in more than 2600 Hindi films and in 15 indian language films like Hindi, Bengali, Assamess, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannad, Telegu, Garwali, Manipuri, Haryanvi and Maithili. Udit Narayan also acted in two Nepali films : Kusumey Rumal and Peerati.
Some of his private albums are Bhajan Sangam ,Bhajan Vatika ,I love You ,Dil Deewana , Yeh Dosti ,Love is Life,Jhumka de Jhumka, ,Sona No Ghadulo , Dhuli Ganga , Ma Tarini, and many more… Udit Narayan has performed approximatively 1050 stage shows in India and abroad like U.S.A, Canada, West Indies, Far East, U.K, South Africa and many European countries.
